You will meet with your tour guide at your hotel lobby or IBO Office to start your Fener Balat tour. Balat District:An ancient neighborhood of Istanbul has the highest density of Orthodox Christian and Jewish population. Golden Horn:Natural lagoon that was used as a port by every civilization inhabited old city. Walls of Constantinople:The famous walls of the city which protected it between 4th and 15th centuries. Sveti Stefan Church:The only iron prefabric church in the world belongs to the Bulgarian Orthodox community. Greek Orthodox Patriarch:Patriarch church of the Greek Orthodox community in Istanbul. Ahirda Synagoge:Another important sanctuary of Istanbul from 15th century established by Jewish community migrated from Macedonia’s Ohri city. Pierre Loti Hill:The highest hill nearby Golden Horn offers the best view of the lagoon and old city. The hill was named after a French gentleman by local people of the neighborhood. There are facilities such as restaurants, cafes and streed food vendors and tea houses. ** At the end of your tour you will be dropped off to your hotel. |
