Istanbul Kucuksu Palace

The Küçüksu Palace (Küçüksu Kasrı), built in the 19th century on the Asian shore of the İstanbul Strait between Anadolu Hisarı and Kandilli, is a dazzling summer palace with its decorated marble façades. It was commisioned by Sultan Abdülmecid I in 1857 and construct by architect Nigogayos Balyan on the site of a former wooden palace. The façades of the buiding was decorated further during the reign of Abdülaziz, and its final from displays all of the features of the Baroque style.
